Displaying the Element Tree
Use the Element Tree to display the hierarchy of the elements in a Documaker document using a compact, tree-like view.
The elements are grouped into various areas, each represented by a different icon. These areas represent the different parts of the Documaker document.
You can use the Element Tree to select, search, edit and remove elements, and perform other tasks. For details, see the Element Tree Pane.
Please note:
- Sections and paragraphs with the Replace section... or Replace paragraph... option selected are displayed with the
icon
- elements within Word text boxes are displayed under a single Text Frame node
Below the Element Tree, the properties of the selected element are displayed in a read-only view.
To display the Element Tree
- From the View Group, select Tree.
The Element Tree opens displaying the names and types of elements in the Documaker document.
| Tip | To ensure the Element Tree reflects all your latest changes, at the top of the tree, right-click the Documaker document type (for example, Form), then choose Refresh. |
